November 8th our Pack will join others around the country to collect food donations for those in need before the holidays. We will be stationed at the Homeland at Bryant & Danforth from 8am-3pm. Please bring your scout for a shift! This counts toward their service project requirement for their advancement this year.
If you became a scout or leader at the beginning of the school year in 2024, then your registration is likely up for renewal. You should receive email notifications from Scouting America that will link you to their site to complete your renewal. Or, you can go to https://my.scouting.org/ and select the "My Renewals" tab to see if yours is ready.
If you joined in prior years, your registration is likely to be in December when we used to process all renewals as a Pack. The national policy changed last year so renewals are always processed in the month the scout joined.
We're selling popcorn this Fall to raise money for our Pack and for your scout account! Popcorn sales cover around a third of our budget for the year. Start now! This year we will be selling using the Trail's End app (instead of carrying inventory and reserving "show and sell" locations).
To get started:
Download the Trail's End app from the app store, or visit https://trails-end.com.
Set up an account for each of your scouts, and make sure you pick Pack 3101 (unit code 8KEUA) as your scouting unit.
Get your scout's personal sale website link and share with your family and friends.
We are in need of parent volunteers to guide our fundraising activity. This could include managing sign-ups for scouts who would like to checkout popcorn inventory to sell directly (we call "wagon sales"), and distributing and tracking that inventory. Please talk to our Committee Chair Ryan Jones if you can help in that area.
There are a couple of new ways you can help our Pack greatly without lifting a finger (okay maybe just your thumbs). We want to hear from you!
Akela Applause - A new Pack 101 award to recognize scouts, leaders and even family members for the ways they exhibit the scout oath and law. Be on the lookout for those who do a good deed and hop onto our website to let us know. In our next meeting we will shout out that person and recognize them for their character.
Pack 101 Feedback - A form to help us improve our program with some quick feedback. After each major program event, or just anytime, hop onto our website to fill out three questions...Start (what could we do that we did not), Stop (what did we do that we should stop), Continue (what did we do well that we should be sure to continue). It only takes a minute. Fill in as much or as little as you like.
We are a volunteer organization that serves the whole family. We need people like you to help us run a great program. Here are a few areas we need help. Let us know if you're interested!
Assistant Den Leaders - Co-lead weekly adventure activities or fill in when the Den Leader is absent
Fundraising Chair - Plan and coordinate fundraising activities. Track popcorn inventory or help come up with the next great idea.
Advancement Chair - Keep track of the awards our scouts are earning and pick up the patches and belt loops before our monthly Pack Meeting.
Event Chairs - Plan the food, decor, or activities for a particular event such as Rain Gutter Regatta, Blue & Gold Banquet, Pinewood Derby, or others
Or volunteer for various smaller opportunities. Bring snacks to a Pack Meeting. Teach a particular adventure for your scout's den.
Help us find the right fit for you by completing our Family Talent Survey!
